History of Obsession Chocolates

Hand-Made, Gourmet Chocolate Truffles from Rebecca Flynn

Rebecca Flynn, owner and chef, began creating her well-known, award-winning chocolate creations over 10 years ago at Obsession Chocolates in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Featuring her hand-made, gourmet chocolate truffles, fresh-baked sweets and treats, and Italian gelato, her shop on Historic Water Street quickly gained popularity among local residents and fans from miles away.

Rebecca has a professional chocolatier certificate from Ecole du Chocolat, a professional school of chocolate arts in Vancouver, British Columbia. Obsession Chocolates' truffles have been featured in magazines such as Wisconsin Trails, and have won a few accolades from her peers.

In 2010, her plans to expand her truffle business came to fruition. Locally, the business expanded into a new, larger cafe and manufacturing space for her truffles on Barstow Street in downtown Eau Claire. This new location, known as Obsession's Chocolate Lounge & Cafe, now features more of Rebecca's mouth-watering goodies, as well as fresh-baked breads, fresh-brewed coffees, and a full breakfast and lunch menu.

The expansion into the new location also provided additional space for cooking classes, held a few times each month in the Obsession's kitchen and classroom. Becky and her staff provide a fun and interactive event for couples, busy moms, groups, teens, and anyone else wanting to learn more about cooking.
